I believe in being of service. My dream service goal is to donate at least 10% of my time to things I believe in. That was not possible when I worked the corporate 2-, maybe 3-weeks of vacation a year gig. 10% is 5 weeks of service a year, and it would also be nice to vacation and take time with family and friends. It takes some juggling with having my own businesses. But I get to trade off that service goal against my financial goals in ways that I couldn't when I worked for someone.
So I'm off to staff a session Not Back to School Camp for four weeks starting July 29th. This is one of several annual volunteer and service gigs I have, so expect to see more "service" sales in the future. And now I also need to tack a week or so on to care for my aging parents while I'm in their area. Since I'm essentially a one-man business away from the warehouse and I'm off the grid most of the time I'm at camp, that means orders placed during that time will most likely have up to a few week shipping delay. I will strive to get all orders placed before I leave shipped. Then orders placed while I'm out will all go out within a couple days of me returning at the beginning of September.
However, I want to take care of your tea needs so you don't run out while I'm off adventuring and volunteering. To encourage you to put in your orders before I go, and to compensate you for the additional delay if you order while I'm gone, I'm offering 12% off orders placed between July 21st and August 31st. Orders placed by July 26th will go out before I leave on the 29th and orders placed after that will probably go out on September 5th or so.

Tea Restock; Out of Office Sale
Tea restock!
At this point most of the teas on the site are re-stocked. Most have gone up in price somewhat, with Gyokuro being the only one that skyrocketed. There are some previous harvests of some teas available on sale if you'd like to take advantage of that. All very drinkable with maybe a slight decrease in aroma and brightness. Jade Nautilus and the Bao Hong long jing are finally back in stock for those that have been waiting.Come peruse the shop and drink some tea!
