This is an exceptional kettle for gongfu tea sessions, especially with smaller teapots, gaiwans, and the like. The slow, precision pouring might be slightly annoying filling large vessels. But the overall features make it worth it even when I'm pouring 16 ounces into my french press for my morning black tea. Tea, like yoga, teaches patience. I really like that the HOLD feature doesn't require me to push buttons every time I put the kettle back on the base.
